“Impossible” new territories, made possible.
Months of strength building and intensive training routines during the last months of 2015 prepared Thomas Bubendorfer to tackle the ‘gravity defying’ challenges of the unthinkably treacherous ice falls across Switzerland, Italy (Aosta valley) and Austria. It is a testament to one of the world’s most versatile climbers that the conquest of one particular new route remained uncompleted — not because of human failing on Thomas’ part — but due to unseasonably warm spells of weather which melted crucial bodies of ice.
