First ascent: “The adventures of Augie March”, Grossglockner area, Austria
15. “The adventures of Augie March”, a 500-metre first ascent in Austria’s Grossglockner region. Again, with friend Max Sparber, Thomas opens up his third extremely challenging new route within ten months — on the north face of Hoher Kasten, 3.189 m. After a long and demanding day — 13 hours climbing — the masterpiece is achieved. And neither 25-year old Max nor Thomas are anywhere near reaching their limits.
