Porsche 911 proves itself a car for all seasons
In phenomenally challenging, and highly changeable, weather conditions the Porsche 911 4S is a car that you can, quite literally, bet your life on. Sure-footed in the worst imaginable road conditions — snow, ice and spin-drift — it provided a fitting performance partner for Thomas Bubendorfer during the thousands of hard-earned kilometres he travelled through this winter, up and over the Swiss, Austrian and Italian Alps. Amongst all this aching vastness of space, the room afforded within the car itself was surprisingly accommodating — especially considering the diversity of cumbersome winter climbing gear such as skis, poles, crampons, cameras, specialist clothing and footwear.
